This mob comprises 124 cows with 63 calves at foot, run under a station mating program. The cattle are predominantly Murray Grey, made up of 82% Murray Grey, 13% Murray Grey cross and 5% Angus cross. Six Angus bulls were introduced on 26th February and went straight to work. The cows were purchased ex Far NW NSW in early January and were continuously joined with Murray Greys, so some cows may be in calf from last spring. Please call to discuss.
Breed and pregnancy status
Crossbred, mixed breed line described as Murray Grey 82%, Murray Grey cross 13% and Angus cross 5%. The cows are station mated and classed as grown, store category cattle.
The calves
The 63 calves at foot (29 steers and 34 heifers, aged 3–6 months) have all been weighed, ranging from 59.5kg to 237kg with an average of 142kg. Some orphans are present. Any calf treated for pink eye has been marked with a red tag.
Dentition and condition
All cows have been mouthed: 20 x 2-tooth, 18 x 4-tooth, 6 x 6-tooth and 78 x 8-tooth, with 13 worn and 2 missing one. The herd is polled bar one horned, one tipped and two scurred. Blemishes noted include 9 cows with a cloudy eye.
Weights
The cows have been weighed, with an average weight of 364kg and a range from 230kg to 550kg. Weighing was last carried out in April 2026.
Accreditation and status
The cattle are LPA accredited, HGP free, and come from a tick free zone and a blue tongue free area. They are not certified organic, not antibiotic free, and not vendor bred.
Feed and availability
The cattle are currently on oaten hay and need to move. They are available from late April through to early May 2026. This listing is offered by an agent, and cattle are fit to load with delivery arrangements available, including at short notice.
