About the sheep
This is a genuine line of 430 purebred Merino ewes, tagged purple (2020) under the MPM breeding program. They are vendor bred, electronically tagged and lifetime traceable. The ewes are unmulesed, running on pasture, and are described as easy care with soft white wool and easy shearing.
Wool and condition
The ewes cut soft white wool measuring 17-18 micron and were crutched early November. Expected weights average around 62kg, ranging from 50kg to 75kg, with an expected fat score of FS-2 (6-10mm).
Fertility and breeding
These ewes are highly fertile and should do 130% lambing from mated numbers. They were mated as ewe lambs at 7 months of age and got in lamb, and have always been pregnant and raised a lamb every year. They are currently unjoined. A DNA flock profile is available if wanted.
Health and accreditation
The ewes are Gudair vaccinated, free of lice, footrot and blemishes, and have no withholding period. They are antibiotic free, LPA accredited, lifetime traceable and fit to load. Treatments have been carried out on this line.
Location and delivery
The sheep are located in Jingalup, WA and are sold on-farm at $195/head, with the price negotiable. Delivery can be arranged, including at short notice. Enquiries are welcome from both agents and vendors.
